Heather Walker, owner of Columbus Boudoir, in Ohio, has shot boudoir exclusively since 2008. She has been working as a portrait photographer for many more years, but once introduced to boudoir and how you can make women feel amazing about themselves, she was hooked!
Q & A
- What is your favorite part of the boudoir photography experience?
I love the LASTING effect just one shoot can have. I love making women feel amazing about themselves and showing them they can be sexy and look like they stepped out of a magazine as well!
- How do you overcome creative blocks in your work?
When I feel I am blocked or stale, I tend to crave a new shoot. Someone I have not worked with before, something new and inspiring as far as location or the feel we are going for. I also love to work with photographers that I feel are very creative and those that I admire, this helps me strive to new levels with my own work.
- If you had zero restrictions, where would you live and how would you spend your time?
I would live on a relatively deserted island or very remote location. One that would have an open air fortress for me and my family. I would have the beach, palm trees, amazing blue ocean, and a pool right next to that. I would spend my time walking, and swimming and enjoying nature and the most gorgeous part of the world, the ocean.
- What do you wish for?
I wish for happiness and peace for myself and my family. I go about each day trying to seek happiness and a calm presence. I wish that for everyone that I know. It is the most important part of life to me, to be happy with your everyday life not just the big moments.
